it took us 2.5 - 3 hours to get from wellington to waikanae... a trip that should only take about 40 minutes. i snuck this while john was unawares... he looks like he's trying to find something to listen to. probably hated my selection. stereo nazi.
...but he became awares, and took a photo of himself
john says "mmm mcdonalds tastes so finntastic in te awamutu!" who gave him the carkeys? he stalled 3 times getting out of the carpark. beautiful considering he'd just mocked the kid infront of us for doing it.
this was in our hotel room in auckland. deodorant is important. i can see why people think he looks like kevin bacon in this photo. ironic given how many references he made to "kevin's bacon".
on karekare beach, he insisted on picking up every piece of plastic (mainly bait bags, bloody fishermen) from the beach. here though he is about to pick up a giant piece of seaweed and fling it.
