1. Noun. A small pony, the size of a rat, that frolicks and loves you. Or a rat that wears a saddle.
The tiny ratpony clambered to the top of the salt lick
2. Verb. To ratpony something, to take a song and break it down to illustrate why or how the song is important.
I ratponied Dancing Queen because I believe I am a dancing queen.
the original ratpony
Many moons ago my friend and I started up a site that we named Ratpony. Yes. "Ratpony" as you know (and LOVE) it today was not originally created by Lisa and Lisa alone! This name came from the ultimate pet, Peppermint, who would of course be a rat with pony like tendencies. It goes without saying.
This site acted as a platform for us to wank on about songs we loved and why we loved them. This was the only true format we ever stuck with. We also tried our hand at lists and general "media" infused samosas. Since I had forgotten about pretty much anything I wrote, when I revisited it I decided to poach my own writing and dump it down here. Thankfully my co-writer wanted to, so I have added his own, infinitely better, entries here. Ok?
